Not since Zimmermanns held the Stroll Jam in downtown Nashua, has there been such big ski and board news in the city. That’s all about to change with the introduction of Gateway Hills Snow Park ! Located up behind he Radison, Gateway Hills Snow Park, ski and board learning center will be open for the 2016/2017 season. Featuring a learn to jam terrain park, ski and board lessons, rentals and a small retail shop, run by yours truly, Gateway Hills will be the local alternative for those who want to learn to slide down hill !
This is the first of it’s kind in the area. It’s actually an old concept that is being reintroduced by the Flatley company. Skiing actually got it’s start in the US when people started converting small hills into rope tow accessible ski areas. This new take on an old concept will feature a magic carpet instead of the former rope tow, a people mover that is bound to save a few pair of gloves from getting shredded.
Always wanted to hit the park like the guys and girls in the X-Games ? Well, Gateway hills will have a terrain park full of, jumps, kickers and low to the ground features that will let you learn to grind and slide like the pros. Never skied or snowboarded before ? There will be rentals and instructors on hand to get you outfitted and show you the ins and outs of sliding down the hill.
Rentals of helmets, skis, boards and Cross Country equipment will be available so that you don’t have the huge investment of buying before you try. This really is a great way for you to get into the wonderful world of snow sports. Stay tuned for their opening day, coming soon !
