Imagine you’re in a world of decay. Buildings all around you are falling down, the people you see are so weathered by their existence that they blend into the landscape – Welcome to suburban Russia. In our cities, urban skiing is like punk rock. Taking your skis to a handrail is like wailing on a guitar and screaming about anarchy. In Russia – urban skiing is like a comet in the night sky. You don’t even have to say “urban skiing” because skis and skiers are so foreign to this land – for all the rural Russians know, we take our skis in the elevator and ride down the stairwell everyday.
